Privacy

House Pour is a private collection app, run by one person and open by invitation. It sells nothing, advertises nothing, and has no analytics. This page says exactly what it stores and who else ever sees it.

What’s stored

  • Your email address and first name — the name is what your collection is called.
  • Your collection: each bottle’s producer, vintage, region, price, where you bought it, its bin, your scores, your tasting notes and its flavor profile.
  • Drinks you’ve logged and recipes you’ve saved.
  • Label photographs — ones you scan, and copies of ones the app finds. These are stored at an unguessable address that needs no sign-in, so anyone you send the link to can open it. They’re photographs of bottles, but they aren’t private, and that’s worth knowing.
  • A daily count of AI calls, used only to cap spending.

Where it lives

Supabase hosts the database, the sign-in system and the label images. Netlify serves the site. That is the whole list.

There are no analytics, no advertising, no trackers and no third-party cookies. The only cookie is the one that keeps you signed in.

What leaves, and to whom

Two services receive data, and only when you use an AI feature. The AI features are off unless the owner turns them on for your account — if they’re off, nothing below ever happens.

Anthropic (Claude) receives: label photographs you scan; bottle text such as producer, name, vintage, region, grapes and price; a summary of your collection — counts by type and region, how many bottles are ready or still aging, and your average and range of bottle prices; and whatever you type into the Advisor.

Serper (web search) receives bottle, producer and cocktail names as search terms.

Neither is sent your email address or your name. Serper is never sent your prices, your scores or your notes.

Deleting your account

On your account page, under Delete account. It asks for your password and for you to type DELETE. It is immediate and permanent — there is no grace period, and no backup of your collection is kept to restore from.

It removes every bottle with its scores, notes and flavor profiles; your saved recipes and logged drinks; your label photographs; your name; your AI call counts; and the account itself. Share links you’ve sent stop working.

Any unused invite code that was reserved for your email address is deleted outright. One thing is kept: the row recording that a code was used — stripped of your email address and of every reference to you.
